I understand now

I am currently an assistant combatives teacher and I just started teaching a new class this week. Every class is different and you never know who will be there. You may have a bunch of PVTs all the way up to a CSM or a CPT. They maybe smart dumb uncoordinated etc....

Now everyone generally makes a judgement on how attractive someone is within the first 20 seconds of meeting them. It doesn't matter if you are married, single, young, or old, everyone rates a persons attractiveness atleast subconsciously. So I show up to the first day of class and there is a high amount of female soldiers in the class (5 in a class of 25). None of them are particullarly attractive but none the less I made my judgements and never thought nothing of it. Now in the military there is some kind of bond that forms between a teacher and student. This can cause trouble if you are not carefull since most of the time the student is younger and generally less mature. It is comon, ecspecially for a student and a teacher that are in the same age group for the student to flirt with their teacher.

One of the students had begun to flirt with me near the middle of the first day. I reacted how a instructor should and didn't pay anymore attention to that student than I did the rest. However thoughout the day the student would find ways to get me to come show her a correction on a move or some other way to draw attention to her.

Now the second day of class the class was getting smoked at the end of class. The student that was flirting with me was extremly uncoordinated and alittle out of shape so she was having trouble keeping upwith the count as it was called. After a few minutes she became demotivated and really wasn't trying, after I said that the whole class would keep getting smoked if she didn't keep doing the exercise she said that "she didn't care, and she didn't care if she wasn't good at the exercises because it doesn't mean anything in the civilian world."

Now here is the point of my whole long drawn out story. When I met this student I mentally rated her to be around a 4 on a scale of 1-10. But something happened to me phisically, emotionally and mentally after she said these words.

She actually became less attractive just because of the words that came out of her mouth. I am not known for being the mostdeep person but I started to understand something during that class. I understand how when you get older and your standards change as well as your perspective. I think I have now elevated my tolerance of what type of person I can be around. I can usually get along with anyone but I think if I was stuck in a room with that girl I would go insane.

This does not mean I am better than anyone but I hope it may change the type of friends that I look for in the future.

Just a thought

Have you noticed that FOX news only does interviews or gets commentary from attractive women? I love FOX and I have decided that they have figured out how to make news more entertaiing to watch. They just put attractive people on the screen.
Even the stories they do are mostly on attractive people. If you look at this story put out this week there is a 17 year old girl that converted from islam to christianity. She is worried that her parent who are still muslim will kill her so she ran away and doesnt want to go back.
The only reason that this got news was that she is kinda hot. Same thing goes for the Casey Anthony case, she did soething horrible but that story wouldn't have been on more than a week except for the fact that she was hot.
I am impartiale to whether this is right or wrong but I know that I pay attention more to current events because of this fact.

Everyone read this

It just occured to me that my other blog was not on private. Amy made it and said it was for me to write down my feelings and shit and no one else could read it. If you have read this blog I am not mad at you it is not your fault. But I feel very violated. I want you to forget EVERYTHING you have read on there, I mean it. If I ever hear anything about that blog it will be the last time you talk to me. If I decide to ever talk abou this it will be on my own acord. If you think I am jokeing TRY ME. This is not meant to be a threat or to scare anyone it is just what I wish you to do.

Nobel what?

Ok for the 4 people that actually read my blog you will probably be disappointed on what I have to say today. Now remember this may require you to use your head because I am in the military I am limited in what I can say about my leadership.

I have nothing bad to say about Obama receiving this award. I did not say he deserved it, but that is the point HE said himself that he doesn't think he has done anything to deserve this award. To me that means one of 2 things, either he really feels that he was chosen wrongly or he is worried that this will harm his image because everyone else thinks that he was chosen wrongly. I know there are going to be a bunch of Demscum (that is going to be my new word for Democrats) that say that he is a really noble man and has done one thing or another for what he has done in his life, all 47 years of it.
Now I want to look at some of the former presidents that have received the Nobel Peace prize and we will see if they have anything in common. Come learn with me about why I could care less about who receives this Liberal worshiping award. Here is the list.
1906 Theodore Roosevelt, 1919 Woodrow Wilson, 2002 Jimmy Carter, 2009 Barack Obama

Now I am not sure what all of them did but I know Roosevelt got one for the peace treaty between Russia and Japan, and Wilson got one for creating the League of Nations. These are pretty noble things I think and i am happy that these men got these awards.
Now why did the last two receive the award? I know Carter was some big peace mongral his whole life but I have not seen any major changes in major conflict area. Africa still hates other africans, the Middle east still hates Jews and Russia is still doing all the shady things it has been for the last few decades. Now Obama, he has done things like pull SOME troops out of Iraq, OOOH wait that was already in the SOFA agreement when Bush was in office, so no points for that one. Well what about the things he has done witht the rest of his time in office? Sorry thats it folks he has done nothing else related to peace. If anything else he has elevated tensions between NKorea and US.
Does anyone remember the quote " Mr. Gorbachev tear down this wall!". No no takers no remembers well atleast no one under the age of 30 probably knows this quote unless you saw it on a movie. I remember it because once I lerned it happended on the year i was born I knew it would be of some signifigance to me. For those that dont' know the quote go look it up, I dont have time to teach you 7th grade history. The point is of the presidents I listed above some have been skipped for this award and it is for one reason.
They were not Liberals.

Sick Hollywood

So this started before my time but this is exactly why no one should agree with the bullshit that most of Hollywood supports. I guess 28 years ago this really talented director (Roman Polanski, even sounds like a sicko) drugged and then sodomize a 13/14 year old girl. He was chraged and convicted in the US but fled to Europe and is currently faceing extradition back to the states to serve his sentence. BUT
there are some sick hollywood people that say retarded things like "well what he did was along time ago and he should just be let go" or my favorite " well 14 is legal in other places like Europe". Ok I got it some think that since most of the world alows sex at a younger age and since it happened such a long time ago then he should be aquited and let back into the US so he can go back to makeing "awesome" movies.
What the hell is wrong with you sick hollywood bastards. This is truly the age of stupid people where people like Paris Hilton and Nichol Richie can get in trouble for being retarded and not have to pay for there crimes bacause they are rich, famous and basicaly live in a world above our own. If this guy comes back to the states I hope he gets thrown in a west texas prison where he will have all the anal sex he wants, he just won't like that he will be receiving this time.
I could relate this topic to so many other subjects ( Like if rich republicans are such elitests then why does most of hollywood and other Dem groups think that they are above the law) but life is short.

Muslims suck

I know that not all muslims beleive in this crap but anyone that knows me knows that iI generalize most people into a group if they lay claim to that group; even more so if i don't like the group. So having said that. I hope all muslims feel ashamed at what the vast representation of muslims in the world are condoning. RAPE. not just any rape but of boys and women in the name of Allah. The torture part I can't say much I condone torture in my country so it would be hyporytical to condem it in others. But the rapeing of anyone with the justification of your god is insane. Fair Tax

I had a chance to have lunch with a representative from GA's district 2 in south west GA. I know this is not the part of GA that anyone cares about but I still took the opportunity to see what my representative had to say about certain issues. I dd not get any one on one time with the Rep but I did speak with his advisor. Really the only issue that I had time to ask was about whether or not he thought the Fair Tax would ever make it to the house and what he thought of it.
To my suprise he had never heard of it. Now my shock wore off quickly since he is a democrat and I couldn't expect him to have any actual knowledge of the Fair Tax so I enlightned him. After I tried to explain what it was and why he should have heard of it he replied with something along the lines of this.
"I don't think anything like that would work but what I would like to see our goverment change to is the same tax system that the British have."
He went on to explain what that system was and I listened but with no intentions of careing. I was still in awe that he had never heard of the Fair Tax. It was broad cast all over the nation on tax day 2009 as thousands of people went to the streets to protest the way we are taxed and bring attention to the Fair Tax. So either he is arrogant and doesn't watch news about anything that disaggrees with left wing ideas or he is lieing to me. I will assume he is arrogant since that seems to be the case with most low level Dems.

I Hate Pampered People

Ok I know that my situation in life did not allow me to start life the way that most people in my situation have or will get to. I also know that because of my experiences I know what life is really about and it is not about the following points.

• Most kids that had my type of life (only child, fairly well off family and some brains in their head) will be given the opportunity to have college, car and other living expenses paid for so they can concentrate on college.
• They will also have a part time job at some crapy food place or something similiar just so they can have money to have fun with.
• They will also complain when they get older and say that their kids have it easier than they did and so on and so forth.
• They will also say that they lived their life and had fun while they were kids and so they expect to get the best of both worlds.

My problem is that they didn't have it rough and they didn't have a hard time. I know plenty of people that have worked full time jobs and went to school full time and graduated on time. Some of these people were even pregnant or with a child by the time they graduated.

These people are not complaining but they are also the people that I have great respect for and believe that idf I had my life to change and do over in a different way that I would not want to be a spoiled brat that gets my school, car house, and most other things given to me because in the long run I will be able to tuff through the hard times in life and see things that most won't.

I conclude by thanking the main person that I disliked for a large portion of my life and that is my dad.

He was what I considered to be a mean person but in retrospect I relize that whether he wanted to or not he made me the person I am today. I can handle some of the worst situations thrown at me and I will always comeout on top in some form or fashion.

I also hope that he is as proud to be my dad as I am proud to be his son.

Just me talking about it pisses me off

I didn't want to give him any attention but Hollywood pisses me off.
So MJ died from drugs. Thats it nothing else to say. He was a sicko that slept with little kids and lived in a fantasy land. Then he died from drugs in his attempt to make the pain and guilt from the sick things he has done in life. I would probably kill myself to.
Now I'm not being fair. I didn't like his music so his spell had no effect on me. I guess I am alittle biased. the fact still remains that his sins were instantly forgiven the moment he died and the media is all to blame even my beloved FOX has betrayed me. Our country could be starting another war and all people would care about was if they were going to keep making thriller records. This country disgusts me.

Hippies piss me off

Ok because I work in an area where we have to know what is goin on in the world at all times I have the oportunity to watch news channels from all over the world so I get some news that most americans don't unless they go on the internet.
So I have been watching Aljazeera based out of Qatar and they have been reporting on the G8 summit in Italy. WellThe summit has been discussing the global warming topic and have agreed to work together to take action but Green Peace is not satisfied with their talkes. So they have been doing protests all over the world complaining that the superpowers should not let the global temperature rise more than 2deg cel. So they have started these protests at busineses that are producing alot of polution, and these busineses have had to slow or stop production because the protestors have been so outspoken. These peaple should be shot. I have been in Kuwait for two months and peaple who have been here at this same time of year last year said that the temperature was much hotter. So that means that the earth is getting colder. Now I know that this may be a coincidence but take this into thought. While I was in belgium I spoke with peaple who where there the year before and said that the winter I was there was cooler than the last. Anyway This will be a ongoing thing that I will have rants about until all the hippies are dead. And if anyone has a comment defending the hippies don't sayanything because i won't debate unless you have some kind of proof to defend your statment. Sorry I am not a winny hippy and I require you to provide proof not emotional distress.

Ok

I didn't watch the video I just posted until today so I now relize that i don't look that bad in the video so i guess I need to tell some back story.
I was asked by my Captain if i was interested in doing combatives for PT (physical training) today and ofcourse I said yes so me him my warrent and another specialist that has been taking martial arts for abut 4 years meet at the gym. They teach me some things then we start to spar against each other and let me say i forgot how exhausting sparing is. So it my turn against SPC Hougey the smallest of us and we start. Now I have a strenght and weight advantage but he is way more skilled so it actually evens out. As we grappel on the ground he starts to work out of my hold on him and gives me a few knees to the cheek and I do not really feel them at the time but shortly after that get him in a submision and he taps out. As I get up I realize that I have something on my cheek and when I brush it off my hand is covered in blood. It still didnt hurt but we had to stop practice after that and that is when I decided to do the video. I will try to video me ain the act next time.

Still undecided

Ok I am pretty sure that I still want to go to a Ranger unit but Amy is making me unsure so don't know if I want to do something that she won't be able to handle. I still want her to talk to a wife who is stationed in a Ranger unit right now so she can get a batter idea of what is like before she tells me what she wants to do. As far as my career is concerned I can go to a stratigic unit ( mostly nondeployable) or a tactical unit (deployable) but I will gain more credibility from a tactical unit and real world expeirence. Employers want you to have been in both type of enviroments when they hire you in a civilian job so i know at some point I will have to go to a tactical unit and it might as well be a high speed unit like Ranger. Not to mention I have found that the more on the front lines the unit is the more you bond with your peers. So in the long run I will make better contacts in a Ranger unit or Special forces than in a huge infantry unit that nobady will ever know who I am. I also I have no intenion of staying in a Ranger or SF unit for to long because in the Army Intel world you need to have your stratigic and tactical time so i will need both. I figure that it is best to get the deployments out of the way so I can go to a stratigic unit as a E7 so once i am there i will have have more flexability with my schedule and responsibility to ultimatly be able to spend more time at home.

Focus

I have been thinking about what I will focus on during my stay in Kuwait. I have come to the decision after talking with many senior enlisted, warrant and commisioned officers that I want to go to a Ranger unit. I want to do real intel with a REAL unit. I have also been thinking of how I will set myself apart from my peers whom have already been deployed and will be one step ahead of me my entire career if i don't do something that they won't or can't. I am going to Ranger school. I want to be a Ranger qualified 35F. Of all the seniors that I have talked to they have rarely seen a intel guy who is Ranger qualified. So this will take alot of preparation. I will discuss the details of my training that I will conduct in my time here in Kuwait as I figure out what I will be doing.

Well traveled

I have been talking with some of my peers that are here with me in kuwait and I have concluded that I am well traveled for someone of my my means and my age. none of my family has alot of money and I have never had alot of money but somehow my life has taken me to eight countries in the last five years. I have spent 2 months various parts of Peru, I was stationed in Belgium for 10 months where I had the chance to travel to Spain, France, Germany, Netherlands, and Luxenberg. I have now been deployed for a short time to Kuwait. I will not include all the places in the US I have been. (That really doesn't count)

Now I know there are alot of peaple out there nowdays that have been to many more places than I in that short of time but you must remember that I am not a trust fund baby nor do I have a high paying job as a matter of fact I had a wife and a kid for much of my travel. I am not trying to bragg or make myself out to be some kind of travel guru but when I think of what I will be able to use my expeirences of my travel is this; my kids. I will be able to teach them things and tell stories of things that they may never get to see and hopefully I can inspire them to get out of their world that they know and go see the rest of it. I can't explain what kind of things have happened to me in my travels but I do know that no one can ever be worse off for expanding their horizons.

it doesn't have to make sense it just has to make ARCENTs

We have now finished setup for the exercise and we are still having to go to work from 7pm to 7am to sit around and do nothing. i have done one thing since i got on shift tonight and it took 30 minutes. I do not see the point of sitting around just to be present and say that we were here even though there is nothing to do.
I can't wait to get to a real unit.

Be flexable

I have been in Kuwait for 7 days now and in those seven days I have ben told 3 times that i will be staying in Arifhjan then in Buering then back to AJ, I have pulled two 26 hour days and ben switched between night shift and day shift 4 times. It is impossible to have a regular schedule here. I can understand why some peaple can't hack it in the Army. I understand that is also why companies pay more attention to applicants who have served a good amount of time in the military; we are a special breed. And everyone isn't cut out for this life.
